Bulgaria Wins Best Stand Award at Tourism Fair in Poland

Bulgaria won the "Best Stand Award" at the International Travel and Tourism Fair (ITTF) in Warsaw, held from November 21 to 23. Competing with nearly 30 other countries, Bulgaria's stand impressed with its presentation of the nation’s rich culture, natural beauty, and culinary offerings, according to the Ministry of Tourism.

Deputy Tourism Minister Irina Georgieva, who accepted the award, highlighted Bulgaria’s appeal to the Polish market. "With our cultural heritage, stunning nature, mineral springs, and delicious cuisine, it’s no surprise we’ve welcomed nearly 400,000 Polish tourists this year," she stated. Georgieva also emphasized the importance of deepening tourism ties, particularly as Poland prepares to assume the EU Council presidency in 2025. She expressed hopes for collaborative projects to further strengthen tourism links.

The event also featured a bilateral session of tourism experts, during which Polish State Secretary Piotr Borys underscored the value of closer cooperation to boost tourism between the two countries. The source of this journalistic news

Bulgaria continues to make waves in the international tourism scene, recently clinching the "Best Stand Award" at a prominent tourism fair held in Poland. This recognition highlights the country's growing appeal as a travel destination and its innovative approach to showcasing its rich cultural, historical, and natural treasures to a global audience.

The "Best Stand Award" at the Polish tourism fair underscores Bulgaria’s rising prominence on the global travel map. With its blend of ancient history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking natural beauty, Bulgaria is not only captivating the hearts of travelers but also setting a benchmark for excellence in tourism marketing. This victory is more than just a win for Bulgaria’s tourism sector, it is a celebration of the country’s rich heritage and an invitation for the world to discover its magic.

The tourism fair, one of Poland’s most renowned platforms for travel and tourism professionals, brought together representatives from dozens of countries. It aimed to inspire travel enthusiasts and industry stakeholders with captivating exhibits and innovative presentations. Bulgaria’s participation was organized by the country’s Ministry of Tourism, with the goal of boosting its visibility in the competitive European travel market.

Bulgaria’s Stand: A Celebration of Diversity

The award-winning Bulgarian stand stood out for its creative design and immersive visitor experience. The booth combined cutting-edge technology with traditional elements, creating a visual and sensory journey through the country’s unique offerings:

  1. Interactive Displays: Virtual reality experiences allowed visitors to explore iconic landmarks like the Rila Monastery, Plovdiv’s Old Town, and the Rose Valley.
  2. Cultural Highlights: Traditional Bulgarian crafts, music, and dance performances created an authentic and engaging atmosphere.
  3. Culinary Delights: Attendees sampled traditional dishes, such as banitsa and lyutenitsa, and tasted fine Bulgarian wines from renowned vineyards.
  4. Nature Showcases: Stunning visuals of Bulgaria’s natural landscapes, including the Black Sea coastline, majestic mountains, and tranquil villages, underscored the country's appeal as an all-season destination.

Strategic Focus on Poland

Poland is a key market for Bulgarian tourism, with a growing number of Polish tourists visiting the country each year. Bulgaria’s warm climate, affordability, and diverse attractions have made it a popular destination for Polish travelers, particularly for summer vacations along the Black Sea coast. The award-winning stand served to strengthen these ties and attract even more Polish tourists.
